Walk ALS Triangle: Mrs Sarah Lambert Barham

Our walk on April 26, 2025 will be our 15th year walking to raise money for ALS! We have established a team called "Daddy's Treasure"!

Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

My Daddy lost his battle with ALS on December 23, 2010 and went home to be with his Heavenly Father. The joy and love he brought to my life and my family will forever be in our hearts. We want to do all we can to help find a cure for this fatal disease. Please join us in fighting for a cure.

It is a privilege to be able to honor my Daddy by participating in the annual walk to defeat ALS. With each step we take we are one step closer to a cure. Please be a part of this by helping us to reach our fund raising goal of $1,500 year! This is an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease and to spread awareness of the urgency to find a treatment and a cure.

Thank you for helping me reach my Walk ALS Triangle fundraising goal! The Walk ALS Triangle raises funds to support the ALS community in North Carolina and to build ALS awareness to find treatments and a cure.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, talk, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, at any age and there is still no known cause or cure.

That's why I'm walking. To build a future without ALS. To bring help and hope to patients and families affected by this terrible disease, in the hopes that one day ALS is a disease of the past.

Over the past few years, there have been advancements in ALS research, as well as expanded resources and access to care for people living with ALS.

But now, more than ever, we need to keep the momentum going. We need to continue to push for more treatments and find a cure for ALS.
