Walking for Chance: Honoring Ana Milazzotto
This is a beautiful angel. Her name is Ana Lucia Milazzotto. Ana was diagnosed with ALS in late March 2023. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, talk, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. We've always known that Ana was never average - and she proved that up until her death. ALS progressed extremely rapidly for Ana and she died from the wicked disease on December 16, 2023 - approximately nine months from initial diagnosis. Last year a small team of us joined Walk ALS Triangle, including sweet Ana. Ana named our team "Walking for Chance" in honor of her beloved companion, Chance. Please consider joining us at the walk this year as we honor Ana (and dear Chance). We will walk and roll together, united with wheelchairs and scooters, families, neighbors and friends, strollers and pets – all are welcome!

****If you can't make it to the walk, please consider making a donation. With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease right here in North Carolina.
I have never seen as anything as horrible as this disease. We must eradicate it. We must build a future without ALS and bring help and hope to patients and families affected by this terrible disease. I know that Ana was passionate about this organization and this event and I am sure she and Chance will be walking in heaven, right along with us.
Thank you for helping us reach our Walk ALS Triangle fundraising goal! The Walk ALS Triangle raises funds to support the ALS community in North Carolina and to build ALS awareness to find treatments and a cure.See you April 26th!
