This walk means the world to our family because it directly supports people like Josh, who is bravely fighting ALS every single day.

ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, is a progressive and devastating disease that takes away the ability to walk, talk, eat, and eventually breathe. Most people diagnosed are given only 2 to 5 years. There’s still no known cause. No cure. And yet — we fight. Every day.

That’s why we walk. For Josh. For families like ours. For hope.

The Walk ALS Down East helps fund critical research and care resources for ALS patients right here in North Carolina. And while we've made progress, there’s still so much more to do. We have to keep pushing for better treatments and — one day — a cure.
